Insect strips.

I need to use some insect strips to kill off a boatload of pinhead crix that are thriving in my enclosure. I will be temporaily relocating them while I exterminate. I've tried a few other removal options but they didn't work. What is a good pest killer that won't leave any dangerous vapours behind that might get into the substrate. I've used vapona before but I had emptied the tank completely before using it. I don't want to do that this time.

No pest strips are a big no no! They used to be commonly used until it was learned that they caused neurological damage.
I don't know of any pest strip type product that would be safe to use. If you look at them all of them state not to be used in food areas, nurseries, bedrooms, sick rooms or anywhere people are going to be in prolonged proximity to them. That sort of warning is a big red flag!
If the tank is to be emptied of its inhabitants during the time why not just flood it.
Crickets+water=dead crickets.

Yup, I was told to use them when my snake had mites. I didnt, used the old water, and bedding spray worked fine.

The bedding spray may work im not sure. But Water and cickets = them swiming at davey jones locker.

Yes but that would require a heck of a lot of water. I tried putting in quite a bit but it didn't work. It did however create about 95 percent humidity for a few days. Not recommended in a plywood enclosure.

Hmm. Those ideas sound good. Maybe a blow torch or a fire extinguisher .

The fire extinguisher would leave a mess.
The dry ice sounds interesting though. If it didn't suffocate them it would freeze them!
