Both Maia and Jackson aka Jack (previously known as Scarlett) have had their first pinkies this week. Maia is 7 months old (Bearded Dragon)... and she gobbled the thing down!!
She was so excited!
I know they can't have too much, but what do you guys recommend?
Also I know I should start weaning her off such a protein intense diet and more to a veggie focused one.. how do I do that? How much protein should she be eating in her adult years?

Jack (the Chinese Water Dragon) didn't seem too enthusiastic about the pinkie.. I dropped it on his top platform and 5 minutes later he's staring at me with a little blood on his face. Mmm.. tasty. Now how do pinkies factor into a Chinese Water Dragon's diet? He was reaaaaaaaaaaaaalllly picky about his food so I'm very surprised he ate the pinkie.

You dont have to wean her off, but most people do. Which means more veggies during the day and protein every other to every 2 days.

Glad they enjoyed the pinks . Hows Dyna?

I gave my girls pinkies about every 3 months and boy did they love them, one of my girls used to eat fairly sized fuzzies, heres a video of her, the crunching used to go through me ... but I loved watching them enjoy the pinks..
