Heat Emmitter from reptileuv.com
Hi. i have been looking for lights and heating on the reptileuv website. Is the HE heat emmitter a good one to use. It looks like it will give off light. Has anyone ever used these before?

The heat emitter does just that - emits heat (no light). If it's lighting you want/need, go with the 100 watt SB Megaray Flood Lamp. That's what I have and it's great! Throws off a lot of heat though so be sure to double and triple check your temps!

okay thanks just making sure. i will be buying a digital indoor and outdoor thermometer for his tank so I can measure the top half and the bottom half of the tank and it comes with a hygrometer. i will be putting a pool in the bottom of the tank with a fish tank bubbler in it to help with the humidity? so u think this is a good idea?

Just as long as you realize that the ig will probabaly use the pool for his toilet so make it easy to remove and clean.

Hello,
If you will be using a heater in the pool, you will need to build a housing for the heater so the iguana can't make contact with it or possibly break/knock it over. if your ig were to break it, electrical shock and possible fire would likely occur. |

Hello,
Nope, I read it too quick! Sorry about that. lol The bubbler should be fine (It's just the tube that will be going in, so the ig shouldn't have any access to the electrical.) That alone will help raise the humidity. |
