Hey everyone! I haven't been around here in a while! What can I say.. things are actually all going great! I know I'm jinxing myself by saying that!

I have a question though. I came upon a pinkie jackpot! All the hamsters/mice at work at having babies! And we have no small snakes at the time. So I'm getting all the babies! I'm feeding Dyna every 5 days now. She's eating like crazy. I'm very happy with that!
However.. Scarlett is now almost 17 inches.. and Maia is about 14. Would I be able to give them a pinkie every now and then too? Molly is still too small I think cause she's only about 9-10 inches. But the others should be able to do it I think.
How do I introduce them to pinkies? Any suggestions?

Nice to see you stranger! You do realize you can visit the site and just say hello even when things are going good don't you? lol

Some dragons won't take pinkies at all. Mine love them. I actually feed pinkies "live". They can't do any damage to the dragons, so no harm there. Once they start trying to wiggle around, snap, they are grabbed and destroyed. Its not the most pleasant thing to watch (and sometimes hear), but the added nutrients for my critters is all I am concerned about.

Hello,

Zane, hamster pinkies are just as small as mice pinkies when first born. The difference in the 2 however is that in 2 weeks, the hamster pinkies are MUCH larger. They grow rapidly.

Yes, mine eat frozen thawed pinkies as long as I wiggle them.

My water dragons ate F/T pinks with no problems

My dragons eat F/T. As soon as I drop them into the food dish they are on them!
Sometimes they even catch them right out of the air!

yea the hamster pinkies are one day old so they are reaaaaaaaaaally tiny. On top of that.. they're dwarf hamsters Itty bitty pink things!!

I think I'm going to give it a try! I'll let you guys know how it goes!

My Bearded Dragon LOVES pinkies and fuzzies, I feed them live. my skinks wont touch them though...oh well.
