hi. i need to know if anyone has made an iguana enclosure themselves and also if they have could they post some pics? i am making mine out of chipboard and pine 2 by 2's. i will be putting a styrofoam rockwall on the back and side walls with 2 small doors one on top of the other with glass windows. i am putting one more window on the side looking out of the house. what all will I have to seal and what is a good wood sealer.

All wooden surfaces must be sealed. You can use water based latex paint (the stuff used to paint childrens rooms) or polyurethane.
The styrofoam is not a good idea. The ig's claws will shred it and he may consume it.

the stryofoam wall is covered with tile grout and wet cement to make it hard for the iguana to penetrate. i got the original plans from this website I just added the tile grout to make it feel like a rock's surface. The tile grout will go on last after the last coat of tile adhesive. i think that the grout should help with his nails to be worn down a bit and he can rub against it to help with shedding his skin. should I put a polyurethane coat over top of the grout?
