    Under Tank Heater for Leo.

Hello, I am looking for an under tank heater for a Leo. I've found a bunch of different name brands so I am clueless as to what one to get. I will list a few and maybe someone who knows a little about them can determine the one that would safely heat one side of the Leopard Geckos tank without cooking him.

    http://www.exo-terra.com/EN/products..._desert_i.html

The first ones looks like a good brand name product but I am not sure what one to get. The rainforest one seems to be for a tank that is humid, which a Leopard Geckos tank had some humidity to it, but in the picture of the desert one they have a Leo in the tank with it. Plus native Leopard Geckos come from the deserts if I remember correctly. Here are some more.

The cobra one looks like it would be to hot. 100 degrees constantly, but I am not sure how much heat would actually go through the glass of the aquarium. I know when you cook with glass pans you have to cook 25 degrees hotter then with a metal pan. Maybe only around 75 degrees will conduct through the tank? Not sure though.

I stumbled apon this after looking through heat products. Does anyone use this, or a product similar. Can you use a regular water conditioner for fish as well? Curious... http://www.exo-terra.com/EN/products/aquatize_i.html

    Thanks,

Personal Id go witht he Cobra heat mat, they are great mats. With any heating device you use you will need a thermostat, or a dimmer switch to controll the power to it. Easy to cut the wire and put a dimmer on it. and then you can adjust it to the temps in your house.

I can't help you with what Under Tank Heater to use as we use human heating pads under all of our enclosers.

I have human heating pads under 2 leo enclosures and T-rex heating pads under the other two. Just make sure you get the right size heat pad for the size of tank it is going to be in.
