editing posts?

I don't know if this has been changed recently or if I am having troubles due to the fact I am on a different computer than usual. To get to the point I am unable to edit posts, there used to be a choice for edit and q-edit.
I've noticed some errors that Ive made during a post that should be edited.
Just wondering
*edit*weird...I can edit this post. Was there a problem when old posts were added? And one more thing, can the spell check be added when editing, that way if you forget you can edit then spell check

I have had the same complaint/question. Just didn't want to seem like a nag. But why can't we edit our old posts? It would be great!

It sure would save alot of re-typing if the posts would just show that they were edited....Instead of having to explain things all over again.
