Branches? |
| This is what our member has to say: Hm, does any one know any sites where maybe they have like 4 or 5 foot tall branches with like plenty of extruding limbs?... |

Hey,
Do you have any beaches near you (remember i'm from scotland) if you treat the drift wood correctly they are safe to use.

Beaches and rivers are great places to look.
You could also just take a walk in a wooded area. Thats how I find the ones I use. This makes sure that you aren't getting limbs from some neighborhood landscape tree that has been sprayed with who knows what. Just make sure to wash them well.

Gather your own branches and then make friends with someone who has a sand blaster. My uncle makes juniper tables and lamps so he's a master at sand blasting, I have him send me grape vines every year.

As silly as it sounds take them into the bathtub! Using dishwashing liquid and water as hot as you can stand scrub them thoroughly with a stiff brush. Rinse them good and then rinse them in a 1/10 bleach water solution, let sit for 5-10 minutes and rinse some more till you can't smell the bleach anymore.

I'd use a clean toilet brush if I were you!
They also have stiff brushes for scrubbing vegetables. |
