Urgent- Possible broken leg

It's been so long since I've posted here. Sorry for the absence guys.

Anywho, down to business. My female collard lizard Chaos has managed to hurt her back-right leg while climbing about in her enclosure. I'm not certain how she did that but it looks as though it could be broken.
My question is whether it will be worth a trip to the vet or is there anything I can do myself. I already have an appointment on Monday for her with my herp vet but I wasn't sure if they'd be able to do anything for her. What are your views on this?

All responses are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

You should set him up in a hospital tank so he cant do further damage to his leg. I say a trip to the vet is best, but can you post some pics of his leg please?

1. Any open wounds should be hydrogen peroxided.
2. remove all peices of furniture condusive to climbing.
3. get us a picture, schedule a vet visit.

Rear leg? will she let you handle it? If so I would gently striaghten the leg along the length of the tail and splint it to it with a peice of tooth pick and tape (only if she isnt going to struggle and freak out)...otherwise keep her in a small cage that she cant injure herself in until mondays vet visit.

This is only TEMPORARY, leaving it splinted like that may cause further damage if it heals improperly.

You should have it checked out by a vet. I suspect it didn't break from a fall. But could have been brought on by a calcium deficiency that weaken the bones. Their could be further problems if this is the case. Best to see a vet.

I thought the vet would be my best bet and thank you all for reassuring me. The leg has swollen a bit and I'm anticipating her appointment tomorrow even more.

She's currently in a 10 gallon tank with a food dish, water dish, and a hide. I didn't want to run the risk of her hurting herself in the larger enclosure. She allowed me to examine the injury when it first happened but I'm not sure if that's a good thing.

Here's a couple photos of the injury so that you guys have more of an idea. There's no broken skin so that's a plus but I can tell that it still hurts her. She attempts to use it a lot and I'm worried that it'll cause even more damage.

Thank you everyone!

It definatley looks like a break, below the knee to me. Let us know how everything goes at the vet! And good job on moving her to the smaller enclosure, its exactly what needed to be done

Actually if there is a break, it would have to be at the hip.
She's able to move her knee almost like normal when she feels like making an attempt to run around. I just wish she would mellow a bit so that the leg doesn't get even more hurt.
