housing leos together

What is your feeling on housing 3 females together and adding one male during mating season in a 3 foot long tank. There is no fighting and lots of hides.I responding to a question on a different web sight and was jumped on because I house some of my Leopard Geckos together.

I think youd need a bigger enclosure, but all should be fine.

It was just a suggestion. Once you put the male in 3 feet will be cramped IMO.

I would also suggest not keeping the male in there permanently...it just stresses the females out. 3 ft tank should be sufficient for them for a short time for breeding. good luck....

I house my girls together, two per encloser. I was told that you allow each leo the size of a 10 gallon take for space.

The male is just in for the spring and we are adding a second layer to half of the tank.Just about done the planning stage.I know they are not social animals but Lilly follows the male Robin every where and she sleeps on top of him every chance she gets.If he moves she shows up in the same spot shortly and drapes herself across his tail.LOL I thought the males stressed the females.

Hi

3 female will be fine in a 3ft tank, we keep 3 female together, just make sure that there is more than 1 moist hide and a selection of others so they have lots of choice.

About the male, I would take one female at a time and put in with the male, easier to keep track of that way
