get him to calm down...ummm

i have an idea.... get a leo and paint it blue with orange spots...

tokays are pure beast! they don't hesitate to go primal on you... if he is still a hatchling you have a slight chance but an adult i would not expect it to calm down too much... let him settle in for a while then maybe try! but tokays are not really intended to be handled

A tokay is cool if you put it in a nice vivarium with nice plants and a few hides. It's cool to watch them eat especially when they crunch things like big insects, smaller lizards, baby birds or pinkies. The only problem is when you clean the cage but otherwise they are cool.If you want to handle them though you might encounter many problems.

I have a Tokay!!! =) lol, he is mean too, but I actually touched his tail the other day without him trying to bite me or even screaming. When I do HAVE TO get him out I wear thick gloves (but soft so it doesn't hurt him. He isn't THAT BAD. I use to be so afraid...thank goodness I haven't been bit yet. I hear is is nasty! Good luck =)

Yeah i'm with devon...paint a leo blue or just accept the fact that your lizard shares several traits with a demon from the deepest bowels of ****....i miss my tokays but they definitely weren't very cuddly...or even tollerant ets.

I have seen personally several people in pet stores get nasty scars (up to TEN stitches) from a single attack. These guys are not to be messed with and aren't wusses. You can't get them to calm down as adults, there's a chance if you hand raise them as babies they won't be that bad (but still, they will be nasty) but you have an adult. Tough luck.
