Haha..I think thats a little gross. But then again to me regualr sausage is gross. I think Im gonna stick with rats for now Im sure Libi would appreciate it. So these sausages have the whole rodent in them? Bones and all. If this is true it would be a good way to feed rats to smaller snakes, since rats are healthier for them

yeah thats what I thought! if you go on T-rex's site you can get different sizes, pinkies, to adults in mice and pups to adults in rats! they cost a bit more! but less than $30 so you should investigate! might save you some money lol

If the ingredients are truly ONLY ground up rats: bones, intestines and all, it shouldn't be a problem. If the snake will eat it, and you can afford it, why not? (My rainbow boa male, Crais, is recovering from a parasite infection and has problems digesting the fur of the rat: he vomits it up. Now I have to shave most of the hair from his rats before feeding... in this case a hairless sausage doesn't sound half bad!)

People's hotdogs/sausages probably have a lot of the same disgusting ingredients, but they also have A LOT of nitrates, salts and preservatives in them that you wouldn't want to feed your snake. (Or yourself if you really thought about it!)

you should give it a try for the poor little guy! there is also this other product called t-rex lizard maker which you put on the steak sausages to entice the snake to take them! that might also help him be more interested in the steak sausage!

Probably a lot simpler than trying to shave a LIVE ONE!

LMAO Merlin: no kidding!!!
Lyn if you want, I can provide real pictures of it.
I've found that normal disposable razors don't do the job: you need to use an electric beard-trimmer type shaver/razor, then it comes off pretty well. I've left hair on the head and legs and he's been able to digest that much. I'm not sure how long I'll have to keep this up!
