j/k seriously though if you wanna get rid of the rat , try waiting till school starts and asking people at school, theres alot of kids im sure that would like a rat, you could also try putting it in the classifieds section of the newspaper.

If you have rats that are escape artists and have issues with handling, try socializing them more and more, mine came to their name and with some time were able to be taken outside, unfortunately when I went to college, I gave them to my sister and with her uncanny ability to lose things, now I imagine they are in the corn field somewhere.

I once had a beautiful rat named Rizzo that would play "fetch" with me with one of those little cat jingle balls, and he would come when I called his name. He was very social and nice. He was also HUGE, and once scared an air conditioner repairman half to death when I appeared in the hallway holding him. That man jumped so high it's a wonder there's not a head-dent in my ceiling! He yelled, "*&$%#$! That's a $#$@$%% woodrat!" It was hilarious because Rizzo was just a very large gray and white fancy rat, and here was this big burly man terrified of him.
![]() I was so sad when he finally died, and I still miss him tremendously. I think most rats have the potential to be really nice when time is spent with them by their people. Good luck with yours! ![]()
