Arwen - Rescued beardie
Arwen was brought to me by a girl that had her for only one year. She is 4 yrs old and is a special needs Bearded Dragon. I think she may have some type of neurological disorder, either from trauma or possible untreated ear infections. She walks with her head tilted, cannot walk straight, kinda staggers and also does the occasional flip. You can see in the pic that she has a slight underbite. She is unable to catch crickets herself so she has to be hand fed. She is fat and has been fed well but the girl is going back to college and unable to take her so this is her new home. The girl did tell me, yesterday Arwen went limp, was unresponsive and stop breathing..does that sound like a seizure or what? Here are some pics of my new girl Arwen..They had orginially named her Smogg (eww), not knowing he was a she, lol.

She's beautiful! I'm so happy she's found a home where her needs can be well taken care of. You're wonderful to take her in! That definitely sounds like a seizure to me.

Hello,
Sorry to see that she has so many problems. Hopefully you will be able to get some things sorted out and find out what her underlying problems are.
I would suggest placing her on Nutribac. I know that her appetite is good, but it will replace her current gut flora with nice renewed (healthy) gut flora.
How was the girls UV lighting? As you already know its one thing to offer UV, its another thing to offer UV that the dragon can't get close enough to to benefit from as well as to offer UV lighting that is outdated and needs replacing. If this dragon is so wobbly and unstable, I don't believe that it is capable of climbing. So exactly how far away was this dragon from its lighting?
If it wasn't getting the proper UV, it could very well have issues surrounding calcium deficiencies.

AWWW,Marsha she's so cute.I'm happy for her that she came to you!! It's a shame how humans treat animals.I'm sure that girl didn't know what she was doing. Some people just shouldn't have animals if they won't spend time to read about their care or to spend money on books ! A shame!
Well done Marsha!!! I hope she will get well again!!!

Hey Marsha....how's your new baby doing?
I'm inclined to agree with you and Rich....maybe Metabolic Bone Disease....and those neurological issues can be a symptom of low calcium. You know...I give that girl some credit....she did give Arwen to someone who she knew was knowledgable and would care for her properly.

She is doing great Toni. I hand feed her dusted crickets every day, working on getting veggies in her now. She will be getting some much needed sun this weekend. I also ordered some Nutribac and she will be getting that also. Thanks for asking Toni.
