Question
My Bearded Dragon developed a lump in her beard. It looked as though she was just puffed up, but when I picked her I noticed a the lump. It developed very quickly. Like within the last day or so. I'm goign to take her to the vet in a few days. She seems fine and doesn't act abnormal. Just this weird lump. Any ideas as to what it is? I'm hoping its not a huge deal, but, I am worried. Thanks.

Welcome to Herpcenter Nick. Is it a hard or soft lump? Without a pic its hard to tell what it could be. A vet visit is absolutely the correct action to take. Keep us posted and if possible post a picture of it.

The lump is firm. I'll try to take pic soon. I'm going to keep her in a sterile enviornment for now. And see if anything helps. I think I remember something liek this happening a long time ago and it going away. I'll keep you posted.

I just talked to a friend who had this happen to their turtle. A stress induced lump due to living conditions. Same description and sytomps. I improved Lizzy's cage today, so I guess we'll see what happens. I'm going to give her a couple weeks.

My baby chineses water dragon had a lump in the neck too, it turned out to be an abscess, you may want to get it checked out by a vet, he should give you some antibiotics which should clear it right up
