Nitro puked and other comments

Aight, I am scared for my male bd. I got home this evening after 6:15. I went out on my lunch and bought Crix. I set the container the crix were in by their cage and Feona (my female) went over to the tank and tried to go after one. Soon after that, I saw Nitro by the water dish and he pucked up this glob of partially digested cricket. He ate some this morning before I went to work. I fed Feona some mealies (I was out of Crix). I do not know what could have caused this.

I am also noticing that when I go up the cage, they shy away from the front of the tank. Also, they both have black stripes going from their throats down to their bellies, are they stressed? Help.

What should I do about Nitro?

Hey Aaron, what are the basking temps in the BD tank. It sounds like he might not have digested his food completely.

Need to boost the temp up to 105-110. This is very important for proper digestion. Also, what size crickets is he eating? When did he last poo? Have you misted or soaked him?

With reptiles being so dependant on proper temps for their survival a good thermometer is a must have. You absolutely HAVE to know what the temps are. Guessing won't do it. If they aren't warm enough they are unable to properly digest their food.
