Broken Toe on Baby Beadie
somehow our baby Bearded Dragon broke her toe. i noticed about a week ago it was curved upwards, but I didn't think anything of it since there was no cut or anything on it, it just looked like a normal toe that was curved upwards. i looked at it again today and showed it to my mom and as she was crawling on us it bent and started bleeding. it seems to be cut all the way around it possibly down to the bone.
it doesn't seem infected at all, and she still eats, moves, etc perfectly normally. its as if she doesn't even know anything about it. from the tip of her nose to the end of her tail she is maybe only 8 inches long. what can be done to help her with her being so small? i've always heard that neosporin was good for reptile injuries, but what about the tip of the toe? i honestly don't think the toe will live beyond the cut, i'm positive it will die, but then what? will it just fall off? we don't know how she got it, theres nothing in her cage that could pinch it and she's been in an aquarium by herself since we got her from an expo a month ago. ![]()

Re: Broken Toe on Baby Beadie
There isnt a whole lot you can do. I suggest putting some neosporin on it and make sure it stays clean. Make sure to keep her on papertowel or newspaper until it is healed.

Re: Broken Toe on Baby Beadie
When I first got Ira, my iguana he had some bent toes from previous breaks and the vet told me that it is fairly common for small lizards to break toes. As long as there is no infection, the bearded dragon will be fine.
