Re: Night and Day Cycle.
So true,,,,I don't even buy Under Tank Heater's from the petstore anymore. Regular human heating pads from Walmart or any drug store work just as well for 1/2 the money. Same thing with digital thermometers, so much cheaper at Home Depot.

Re: Night and Day Cycle.
I usually buy them at Home Depot. at Christmas Time, Lamp Timers were $5, I think now they go for $6-7 2 prong, $9-10 3 prong. (grounded) As for digital Thermometers, I get those off ebay. but I never thought to check home depot for those. 12 hours on 12 hours off works well all around, but with some animals youll find they like it a bit different.

Re: Night and Day Cycle.
What I have seen on Ebay, once you factor in shipping, costs more than it would to just go to the hardware store and buy them.

Re: Night and Day Cycle.
During the winter when they are ready to brumate you need to decrease the day cycle by at least -1-2 hrs make it 10 day and 14 night.
