Re: opinion

have not used it but wanted to chime in with a question.... The top that you have on your new tank, are the holes in the screen/wire bigger than 1/4"? if not then it doesn't matter what kind of bulb you get because the uvb will be filtered out...

Re: opinion

I have used that and did use it faithfully, until I switched to the Mega Ray,, which I absolutely adore! If Mega Ray ever went out of business (Heaven forbid) I would go back to using them. I suggest you use that light until it needs to be replaced and try the Mega Ray, you will definately not be sorry
I have done some good rehab with the Power Sun and some EXCELLENT rehab work with the Mega Ray. Also remember that,, that bulb produces a lot of heat along with the uvb,, as the flourescent does not.

Re: opinion

At one time the ZooMeds were considered the best of the Mercury Vapor lights even though there was a lot of trouble with premature burnout.
If you can get your money back, I would invest in a MegaRay. These bulbs, at this time, are the state of the art. And they were developed by an actual reptile rehabber as opposed to some lab that is just out for a buck.
So you get the best lamp for your animal and help to support rehab work!
Sounds like a win win situation to me!
