Hey I have just recently purchased a baby Bearded Dragon. And I have recently found out alot of useful info in this website so thank you to every one with that info. i just have a few questions on what you could say about him. he is very alert and holds his head high and he has no problems eating he eats his greens and crickets and wax worms and he is letting me hand feed him. he loves water im just a little concerned about that fact that he doest really move around a whole lot he does move just not fequently could this be the new environment or something or am I just being too concerned.

How big of a tank do you have him in? How long have you had him? Sounds like you are doing everything right and hes just being lazy and enjoying himself. Does he stick to the basking area?

i just got him about a week ago I just have a ten gallon tank right know untill more cash rolls around but I have bin told its good for now because he is just a baby but a bigger tank is one the way. And he does like his basking area he has a good rock and he also has a big branch that he will go to from time to time allit is is that he jsut isent active.

He may be stressed. A 10 gallon tank isnt the best for a Bearded Dragon. It is to hard to regulate the temps it needs. If you cant get a bigger tank, try a sterilite for now. What are the temps on each side.

well during the day his hot side is at 100 and the cool side is at about 80 and at night it goes down to about 85 to 80 and a cant remeber what is the temp on the cool side at night its day time right now. i am in the mix of getting a bigger tank I think it may be a 60 gallon my uncle told me its pretty big could this be to big for him?

Way to big if he is a baby. But you can probably split it in have until he is a bit bigger.

ok I could probably do that. im still trying to get it but im having some touble with that but its free so I cant complain much. my father also offered me the fish tank that I curently in use but our last fish seems to be not doing so well I think it may be a a 25 30 in around there. And also how can I tell if he is stressed.?

Staying dark most of the time. But he seems to be eating fine so just give him a bit to settle.

Also do you have a UVB light? They are vital to the health of the animal...and it has to be direct UVB, if it is filtered through a mesh top it is ineffective.
