mouth yellow on inside

hi guys, i need your help! my Bearded Dragon has been acting a little skiddish and has been taking a while to eat his crickets. his eating good but it just takes a while for him to become interested in them. well today he opened his mouth at me and I noticed that the inside of his mouth, like around the tonsils, was a rich yellow color. the color was a lot different from his normal fleshy peach color. i'm not sure what could be wrong. anyone know? i was thinking of taking him to the vet but its really exspensive. so if no one knows here i'll take him, but he is eating well still so i'm not sure if i'm just paranoid.
let me know what u think!

I'm not sure what you have going on in there but, sounds like he does need a vet trip.

$40. Thats about right for the initial office call. Just make sure you are dealing with an actual herp vet. Some regular vets will see reptiles but really aren't up to snuff on things.
Does the discoloration look different from the normal appearance of the tissue? Sort of cheesy looking?

well the texture of the inside of his mouth looked pretty much the same but was yellow. i'm kindve second guessing myself because I didn't get a really really good look. im almost positive that it wasn't thicker looking or anything. i'm pretty sure the texture was the same tho. any idea's of what it could be? also i'm trying to figure out what might have caused this. maybe bad greens or something?

Bad greens are pretty easy to spot. And I doubt that would result in discoloration of the mouth tissue, more likely would just result in a regurgitation.
I am leaning in the direction of mouthrot but I can't be sure.
I know it costs, but I beleive a trip to the vet is your best option.

Here's a link to an article about yellow fungus -- though it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with your situation, and I really know nothing about it. But I did remember reading it...

(is it a no-no to post a link to another forum?)

Regardless of what it actually is, the animal needs to see a vet. You have been given possibilties. None of us here are veterinarians and trying to accuratly diagnose something with a post over the internet is next to impossible.
