ok, yeah I think the temps are pretty good now. i think it might have gotton a little too chilly for him last night though b/c just a little while ago I noticed that he had thrown up. it was a pile of some crickets and a wax worm. i read in another thread that if temps are high enough that they might not be digesting food well enough, and I think that was his food from last night. should I be worried at all? or should I just keep a better eye on the temps right now? i'm a little confused too how most people have said that he might be gaping b/c the temps are too high but then throwing up is caused by low temps causing poor digestion. well if anyone could give me some suggestions that would be awesome.
thanks .erica. |

I have had a case where the Bearded Dragon stuffed himself and the next day he threw it all up. I have since been really monitoring the amount of food I feed trying to keep the meat sources more balanced. Just keep an eye on him. I wouldn't offer him any food tonight to give his tummy a chance to rest. Usually if the Bearded Dragon has enough room to get away from the heated area, they will move if they get too hot. Keep an eye to make sure your temps are with in range and there is a cool side if he wants to cool down

yeah I went to the exotic pet store where I got him today and they said the same thing, that he was probably just overstuffed. i think im doing pretty good withthe temps as of right now, but I am looking to get a low intensity heat source for a little bit of extra warmth for the night time. thanks a lot though for letting me know. i was sorta freaking out and worried. i'll definitely let you know how feeding goes tomorrow.
thanks again, .erica. |

There are some good blue light nocturnal lamps that you can put on a dimmer to help regulate the night temps. My babies get salad all day and as many crix as possible in ten minutes at night a couple hours before bed (usually about 20-35 each, they are still young, less than a year)
