Ok, I have a beardy I can no longer keep. It's a baby. For awhile I have had to give away alot of my Leopard Geckos. Now my beardy. I simply cannot afford buying so many crickets for both of my babies and my other herps. II want to let him have a good home. he has just been treated for coccidia and is pretty free of it. He is doing alot better. From all of the changes, for example, eating crickets for a day or two then refuseing to eat even one for a whole week or more. It get's hard. Due to I have to buy mealworms too. Which are all so grown they can no longer shed and are in the process to pupate. He is 5 months and eating mealworms well. Crickets he will eat 30 one day and refuse to eat them for a long period. I am asking if any one buys silkworms by the mass and plans on keeping this as a staple please pm me. I am not willing to ship due to his stress prone ways If any one lives in the Washington area. Please pm me! Don't worry, I am feeding him as well as I can atm. It's very hard to get some freshly molted, and perfect sized meal worms. As they grow to fast. NOTE: I don't want some one who is going to be feeding alot of meal worms to him. This is just to keep him alive. As he refuses to eat any thing else. I feed him some of my leo's silky supply. He loves em. Sadly my pockets are getting empty and I cannot afford to feed him.

Do you buy food from the pet store or order it in bulk? I go through 1,000 crickets in a week, but it only costs me $16. I wish I could take him for you, but I can't

I buy in bulk. Usually 2 thousand lasts me a week in a half for the two of em. Depending on how much my other one eats. The bigger one usually eats 100 or more a day. Includeing greens and pellets... So yes, I buy em online...

im sure many people problem already told you, but try breeding your own crickets

Breeding crickets can include a lot of work. A lot of times you can fail in the process. I have tried many times to breed them succesfully. Only a few times I have succeeded. I am no good at breeding crickets. No matter what I don't get many at all, or any thing at all. I have looked and looked at care sheets/breeding sheets for them. I could never do it just perfect.

I commend you for recognizing your limitations and for trying to find a good home for him.
