Harmony's right, it can take them up to 24 hours to emerge completely. Some maybe faster than others.

Well first one is out and in the rearing tank. The other eggs aint changed.
Now as she hatched at 12.05 at night should I put her into a dark tank or start her on a cycle tomorrow night?
was thinking of leaving light on tonight to give her time to warm up and settle in.
What you think?

It needs to warm up, you can also leave them in the incubator till morning then start the cycle.

i personally would leave them in the incubator for 24-48 hours, in a sandwich container on a wet paper towel because it gives them time to absorb thier egg sak. if the egg sak is brushed off due to over acticity it can have fatal consequences.

It is best to leave the babies in the incubator for a while after hatching, as SpeacilK said, as long as 24-48hrs. I usually take them out as I find them, unless they still have a large amount of their yolk sacs attached, in which case I leave them for a few more hours. It won't hurt them and the temperature and humidity assists in the yolk sac absorbtion. Don't worry if you have taken this one out already though, I have taken babies out of the incubator with yolk sac still attached before and they have been fine, although the yolk sac can take longer to be asborbed, or not all absorb and some may drop off.

Once one egg has started hatching it usually kick-starts the rest into hatching too, so you should be seeing more babies by now. Don't be tempted to touch or move any that have just poked their heads out - it is a very energy-consuming time for them and they will often stick out their heads and remain in that position for a day or two.

Good luck with them - how many are you hoping for?

Is this your first time breeding? If so, it might also be useful to point out that it is best to leave them several days before attempting first feeds as they are unlikely to start eating for as long as a week after they hatch. Start them on a couple of 2nd instar crix and leave some very finely chopped veg in the tank for them to nibble at. It's amazing watching a baby Bearded Dragon eat for the first time! Have fun
