Questions about breeding beardies

well I looks like im ready to breed Farenth and Carenath. Their both old enough and heavy. i tryed putting them together once and farenth attacked Carenth so I imagine she needs to brumate before breeding?
what would normal behavoir from a female thats ready to breed be?
farenth did alot of arm waving beard puffing headbobbing and attacking.
They both mean alot to me so I want to make sure I do everything right.
now i've read that they can breed without brumating but I dont know thats its true.
anyone that has brumated and bred their dragons wanna give me a rundown on how to do it?

Hey Jade...
I have successfully breed my Bearded Dragons without the brumation process. If you want to brumate, it mainly consists of dropping the temps to 75-80 on basking side, 65-70 on the cooler side and only left on for 8-10 hours a day. This normally starts during the winter months. There will be very little activity from them and they may or may not eat. You will need to keep an eye out for rapid weight loss, sunken eyes etc. (usually does not occur).

I found that if females are responsive to the male, when he starts his fast head bobbing, she will return a headbob as well but much slower and she wont try and run from him.

If you will, please post in HCD also.

hmm I guess i'll let them together a few more times before I try brumating. ( Farenth Brumated last year for 4 months and I missed her )
she didnt run away she just attacked so maybe she just needs time to get use to another dragon in her cage, if she still rejects him then i'll just wait and brumate them.

His enclosure is best,{his house-his rules,= more confident-more dominant} I find brumation promotes weightloss. I have had Bearded Dragons for 6 years, and only this year started breeding them. but that is what worked for me. Scott.
