Well I didn't get the little guy off the sand but I did get them to feed him in a bowl instead of on the sand. I claim a small victory! The rabbits got the spinach and the bearded got kale! Oh and all the bug eaters got the silk worms that got to big for my anole.

I am sticking to my guns and not buying until I have everything ready. To help my will power I have been sending people over to see it so that maybe one will buy it before I cave in! I even sent my mother!

I swear it smiled at me when I was there!

I wouldn't call it "small"! It's a very important change for all the animals there! Congratulations! =)

I think you have made the right choice! You shouldn't take him out of a proper environment if you can't match it.

I can tell you for sure that the most important item you need to have is information. If you learn everything you can about Bearded Dragons, you will know the difference between you can, can't, should or shouldn't do. You will make better decisions and will become a responsible owner. For everything else you have HC. There are a lot of knowledge folks around here as I'm sure you know that will help you whenever you need.

Now that you have some practice convincing the shop owners, maybe you can talk them into keeping the Bearded Dragon reserved for you for a little while until you finish all the necessary arrangements

Well done on your achievement Hide,. as rbl said it's a big improvement and I'm quite surprised you got them to change anything at all. They are obviously people who are willing to be educated and take advice on board,,. a lot of the pet shops round here know they are doing wrong and won't do anything to change it!
