Extremely small beardie
Hey there!
I might soon buy a 13 month old Bearded Dragon, but she is small as a 2-3 month old juvenile!! I know he/she has been taken care of great where she lives now and has lived since he/she was 3 months old. BUT the breeder apparently didn't know much as he gave the hatchlings mostly dandelion greens. So that probably has something to do with it. But has anyone else ever experienced this? Does she have a chance at growing? I don't care that she's a little "defect", I'm just curious. |

I've actually talked to a few people who ar getting smaller ones. Marsha breeds them and she had a couple, my little one came from her. It's cool since it's like having a little baby around all the time.

Blue Eyes/Lacey, is a Bearded Dragon breeder. (she goes to other forums). She had a mold problem in her house and there are several people that got some of her babies that were stunted from the mold.
Julie and Brad have on of them. And so does cp9211.

Erm, I'm a little confused by your comment on the dandelion greens - these are really good for Bearded Dragons and can be fed often. Besides, I doubt very much that veg, even if it were the wrong veg, would stunt a dragon quite so much.
As Jay said, he has a small dragon, and onr of our juvs, Cherry, is smaller than others her age, however she is growing, just much more slowly. Either this dragon has some kind of defect that is stopping it from growing, it isn't as old as you've been told, or it has been kept in the wrong conditions. Are you sure it's not a rankins or a cross- rankins/Bearded Dragon? Good luck with it when you get it ![]()

Are the dandylion greens from your yard? If so be sure no one uses pesticides or herbacides in the area.

Yes, dandelions, and in fact any food, inc. insects and plants, from the garden must be thoroughly washed, and preferably avoided due to any pesticides having been used in the area. We buy all our veg from the supermarket, but I would consider using veg grown in my garden, if there was any!
Have never collected any insects from the wild though, as we cannot be sure what they have fed on and where they have been.
