my Bearded Dragons colors have been dark for a few days. Her back and the side of her beard are dark. when I take her out of her cage they lighten up. What is causing this? Is it something with the temperatures? Thanks

Bearded Dragons do this when they experience stress, or they are absorbing heat.

Taking him out may relieve stress or make it so he takes in less heat. My bearded turns very bright when he is sleeping.

Bearded Dragons also get dark when they are cold. or if yours is like mine does it for fun. she will be running around and switch from dark to light.

How big is your Bearded Dragon and what size tank do you have him in??

Bearded Dragons get REALLY stressed when they live in a tank way too small for them... this is why they brighten up when they are taken out of the small tank and into a larger area. They basically feel completely trapped in small tanks.

They also get dark when they are cold, sick, or aggressive.

she isnt darkening her colors anymore. She is 13 inches. tommorow or sometime this weekend I will be switching her to her new 75 gal tank.
