I finally let go

Ok....call me a worry wort or just plain paranoid, but I finally found some worthy homes for some of my baby dragons....I figure I've got the room and time to be picky. Here is the first to go to his new home, he's one of the twins

Awww Toni, it's a sad day but also a happy one! Just think of the happy homes that your babies are going to. Ask each buyer to keep in touch - most of the time you will find that they do, and in several months time it is so wonderful to see pics and hear updates and see how well the babies that you bred are doing! That's the great part!

Bye babies! Good luck Toni, don't worry

Thank you guys for your compliment & your moral support.....I really need it. Your the best !!

It's hard sometimes when I adopt a rescue out....but nothing like this. It's like giving up one of my own kids, I hope it gets easier.

So far everyone that is getting one is fairly close to our family and I should be able to get updates regularly.

That's great, it's such a great feeling when the buyers get back in touch and you see what loving homes they went to. You can't beat it! You know that you have chosen good homes for them and that they are doing really well, and that's partly because of your care for them as babies and because you made good choices for their future homes!

It does get easier,. after a couple of years of 15+ babies you stop letting yourself get attached. There will always be the odd one that you feel something for, and don't really want to let it go, but you just have to spend lots of time with your dragons and keep telling yourself that the babies are not your pets. And take lots of pics!!

Glad we can be of support to you- it's hard letting a baby go. But as I said, it has its really positive sides too.
