So today lizzy (my female BD) was acting a bit strange, jumping, running, she actually climbed to the top of tank on to the screen and scared me half to death. Well I couldn't tell what the heck was wrong. After about an hour I was reading this nice old website and what Merlin had told me how I would know it was time for her to lay. I looked at her and realized OMG its time!! So in a rush because, well I was nervous, I got together her container and her laying box and put her in. After she checked it out she went in to the box and laid!! After a couple of hours when I made sure she was done I looked in and I have 24 very healthy looking eggs. and they're nice and snug in their incubator.

We decided to keep Lizzy in this enclosure for the next few days just in case.
Oh and thank you every one about being concerned and even though I know about stuff with dragons by reading this site and kinda getting a few people telling OMG no not sand!! which kinda made me feel bad it was all worth it because now my bds are nice and happy and I have beautiful babies on the way.

Just curious, how long does it take their eggs to hatch?
I am planning on getting a BD in the future and possibly breeding, but its a couple herp projects away. x]

Hatching varies but its usually 55 to 74 days.

Lizardgal, you need to get her hydrated. Let her soak in a nice warm tub for a bit and up her food intake. Some Bearded Dragons, but not all, will lay more then one clutch from a breeding. Some lay up to 3+. Hope you have lots of room in the incubator.

yup already done. Uped the calcium and food and gave her a nice soak. today she laid another clutch of 12 and I gave her another soak and feed her good she looks happy and warm right know im starting to wonder tho if shes going to lay another clutch. I mean 24 +12=36 but will see

No, I'm saying she laid 24, then a day or two later, I can't remember, she laid 12 more.
Is that normal because she laid a few more since then?
