Just Adopted a 1 Yr Old Beardie. Got a ?

I got him, looks very healthy and eats well. But I went out and bought him a heat rock. Someone tell me the step to this little guy. Do I leave the rock on?. All light have to go off? Just need a little info. A little bit more then the care sheet.

Heat rock... if you want it to be safe your options are to 1. return it 2. throw it away 3. cut the cord and use it just as decor.... They are notoriously unsafe to use. They short out and usually either stop working, or get to hot... They are known to cause bad burns.

First step is to toss that lizard slow cooker out!

Next PLEASE for the sake of your lizard read the caresheet ( Reptile Forums - The HC Network - Bearded Dragon Caresheet (Pogona vitticeps) ) in order to give your Bearded Dragon a full happy life.

The only truly safe uses for a heat rock are,...
a door stop or a paper weight!
