Re: Tank Size.

Yes a 30L tank will be a fine setup for at least 6 months. If you want something even better, a 30 breeder would work better and last longer.

Re: Tank Size.

It depends on how big the dragon is.... If it is a baby, and you can get the correct temp gradient, then it should be fine for a little while. However if you get an adult, then no, it would be too small.

Re: Tank Size.

I agree with shell. I didn't specify. A 30 gallon would be ample space for a baby, but incredibly cramped for an adult. If you are getting an adult, the smallest size tank I would recommend would be a 50 gallon, thought bigger is always better. I house my adult Bearded Dragon in a 90 gallon (4X1.5X2) and that looked small.

Re: Tank Size.

According to our Bearded Dragon care sheet, Reptile Forums - The HC Network - Bearded Dragon Caresheet (Pogona vitticeps)

While Bearded Dragons are not large lizards, the adults can still reach sizes of up to 20inches, and so they do require vivariums of a decent size, both in terms of height and width. The recommended minimum enclosure size for one adult bearded dragon is 3ft x 2ft, and you should increase the floor space by 2 square feet for every additional dragon. Height is dependant on where the heat source is allocated, but a minimum 2ft of height would allow you the inclusion of climbing branches.

I can't find anything off the web called a 55 gallon breeder, all I can find are regular 55 gallon tanks which are 48 x 12 x 21. Seems a bit narrow but it should be OK.

Re: Tank Size.

I've heard of 40 and 50 breeders but not 55. Usually breeder tanks are wide and somewhat low while regular sized tanks are higher but more narrow.
