Salmonella

Hey, I was just wondering, what are the chances of getting salmonella? Is there a way of preventing the stuff from getting on the body of a Bearded Dragon?

Re: Salmonella

Salmonella is a bacteria found in the feces of reptiles. If the dragon walks in his feces, or brushes against it, it could have salmonella present on its body. There is no 100% way to say the dragon does or does not have salmonella on its body at any given time. Practicing good hygeine is the only way to prevent or limit your exposure to the bacteria.
