Rehoming...

It's sad to say, but I'm going to be rehoming my little Molly. She's being overshadowed by Maia. Maia is way bigger than her and she's very assertive at getting food. Molly is much more shy and reserved. She lets Maia eat and then takes her share. I usually hand feed her. I think she'll do a lot better on her own. She'll be the center of attention and will be able to thrive.
I think I may have the perfect home for her too.
There's a woman who comes in from time to time. And she has a zoo of pets and 3 kids. They have toads and a bird and a hamster.
She's talked to me about bearded dragons before. She was asking tons of questions. Her son's birthday is in January
Her son just learned Bearded Dragons come from Australia, and as a die hard Steve Irwin fan, decided that this Bearded Dragon will be named Steve.
I think Molly would love to be a Steve. This weekend I'll send her some pictures of Molly. I'll send her off with the 50 gallon tank I have from Scarlett. And the basics.
I feel bad. But I know she'll be able to get so much more attention there.
I'll keep you guys updated!

I know it's probably not easy for you to do this but it seems like you're doing what's going to benefit her. It's a higher level of herping when you think of what's best for them before yourself.

Joie I know this is a hard choice to make, but your choice is for the good of the Bearded Dragon. If you rehome to this family you will have contact and will be able to tabs on how she is doing.

Make sure she (the lady, not Molly, unless you think she's gifted with the computer) knows how to find us here. It sounds like a good home for her. Sometimes that's just what you gotta do...

Yeah, it happens, and if its in the better interests of Molly then i'm glad you are doing it, it's hard to give them up sometimes!
