I checked out Rep-Cal's site. It didn't have the ingredients to their products, but I did see that the Herptivite has beta cerotene instead of vit. A, so that's a plus at least. I personally wouldn't use their calcium supplement though. Its got D3 in it. Vitamin D3 isn't a real vitamin. It acts as a hormone in the regulation of calcium absorption. However, the sole purpose of a UVB light is to allow the skin cells to produce their own D3, so if you have a UVB light there's no need for D3 in the supplement. Evidence shows that synthetic D3, like that found in supplements, can't even be absorbed properly and may actually prove dangerous to some herps. Since you don't need the extra D3, I'd go with a calcium supplement that contains calcium and nothing else. Rep-Cal's calcium supplement without D3 looks much better. Pure calcium carbonate with no synthetic D3 or phosphorous added. I personally use Mardel Herpcare products, but Rep-Cal looks ok to me. I'd just use their cal supplement without the D3. Check and see what the ratios are like in the vitamin supplement. The A-D-E ratio should be about 100:10:1.
