Are you thinking of feeding them as a staple diet? the size of food item should be no bigger than the space between there eyes.

There is a good care sheet on this site on how to tend to your Bearded Dragon, it may answer a lot of your questions.

You can get silk worm eggs, and very small worms that eat mulberry leaves from trees or you can get them off silk worm sites.

thanks for the help. I am going to stick with crickets for now. I am only 15 years old and cant afford to pay 15 or more dollars for 100 silkworms.

Thanks

I have been feeding my Bearded Dragons silkworms for about a month now. The silkworms are a lot easier to deal with than crickets and the eggs I bought hatched just fine. The silkworms are also easier to breed than crickets. The biggest problem with the silkworms is the food. If you don't have a ready supply of mulberry leaves you have to buy the food online. Easy enough to mix and keep for a while. My male (14") goes through maybe 10-15 large silkworms a day whereas he would eat as many crickets as I would give him.

Silkies also dont stink, are quite and it takes less to feed your Bearded Dragon vs crickets. I would go that route but I have way to many dragons.

Yeah, the more variety in the diet, the better. There are only two feeder insects that have the proper nutrition to make good staple feeders, and those are crickets arnd silkworms. However, you can still use the crix as your staple and feed silkworms only as an occasional thing. Like I said before, the more variety the better. There's an ever increasing variety of feeder insects out there these days, pretty much all of them are safe for any lizard, as long as the size is right.
