If you are getting a hatching to a young adult, you should b e feeding your Bearded Dragon crickets daily, they need to protein for proper growth. I feed mine veggies in the am and crickets in the pm.

With a sub adult (under a year old) I would give crix daily. Once they reach a year I would go 2-3 times a week.
Dusted of course.

I also give my dragons moths and what we call box elder bugs. The greens in the a.m. and bugs in the p.m is a good practice to follow. I find that Bearded Dragons are very sight oriented and will eat anything thing that moves anytime, whereas the greens will sit there for a while until they decide they are hungry.lol I find that this schedule works very well to ensure they get a balanced diet. With wild caught bugs you do need to be aware of pesticides and such and make your decision accordingly. I have a friend that sets his beardy in his mother's flower garden when the weather is nice.
