My son fed hero about 100 wax worms in a week. He also ate salad ( dandy, collards, melon, berries), 2 doz crix and 10 silks. TOO MUCH??????

I'd say too much of the waxworms. They should be used as a treat like once a week, not a staple. They have a very high fat content. The veggies, crix, and silkies are fine. We feed ours vegetables in the morning, and crickets in the evening every day. Once a week we give him about 5 or 6 waxworms.

I definitely agree, too many wax worms. They are very fatty for dragons and as said above should be fed as a treat as with mealies.

Definitely! I would cut anything fat (waxworms, butterworms, mealworms) from his diet for a while.

I was rereading the thread and thinking to myself that if Hero is anything like my Bearded Dragon, making him eat crickets again will be a nightmare! Hero must be addicted to waxies by now! =)
