guess im just lucky. i buy about 1000 3/4 inch and keep them in a rubbermaid contanier, with screen sides, and top for airation as they produce huge amounts of amonia, and stick them in my garage which gets to about 50-60 degrees at night. i also put them out during the day and let them get fresh air. i find I only get 10% die off the whole time I have them which can be about 3 weeks. they get chucnks of apple and a soaked paper towel in a little tray.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I don't buy many crickets just cuz my uro doesn't eat very many of them, only a couple per week. But it never fails, at least 10% die off. If I buy 6, I guarantee 1 will die right away, and another one the next week.
Good thing they aren't that expensive

Since the total lifespan of a cricket is a whopping 8 weeks, if you are buying adults they are probably just succumbing to old age!
