Instant Meals???
Reading different threads here lead me to do some research on expanding the variety of my Bearded Dragons diet. He mainly eats crickets and has been having silkworms as well while I was able to get them. I am always adding new veggies in to mix things up. I just came across this: A freeze dried instant dragon meal. Dragon Food contains dandelion greens, red clover tops, corn, carrots, green beans, leeks, zucchini, meal worms, and more for your herp. Two convenient, economical sizes. Has anyone ever seen these or heard of them before?

Re: Instant Meals???
What's involved in preparing it? Just adding water, or cooking.
If it's just adding water, I suppose you can use it in conjuction with fresh veggies, although freezing usually saps out some of the nutrients in the veggies.
If you cook it, I'd recommend against it.

Re: Instant Meals???
The instructions were to just add warm water.

Re: Instant Meals???
Personally, I'd stick with fresh as much as possible, and just use these every once in awhile to kind of add flavor - if he likes them. Of course, I'm always up for fresh rather than prepackaged.
If it's just water, though, it should be like any of the "dry" diets you find for them. (Pellets, usually) It may actually help to keep him hydrated. You just don't want to use them instead of fresh fruits and veggies.

Re: Instant Meals???
I am just thinking back to when I left for vacation and no one was up for putting in the work to keep him. if this could be a safe feeding for a few days and all they had to do was just add water I think they would more likely to help me out. Just less time consuming for them.

Re: Instant Meals???
I dont see why it would hurt if its just for a few days, but he will still need his protein as well.

Re: Instant Meals???
Yes, this would be in addition with them still feeding him crickets as well.

Re: Instant Meals???
The picture looks terrible. If you could get him to eat it more power to you, I promise my picky guy would look at it like, "What vomited on my lunch plate?"
