Any one know if live crickets are better than freeze dried? Pros and cons of each?

Live food is definitely better, you can gutload it yourself so you know what your pet is getting, also most herps refuse freeze dried.

what Lacey said. I feed my frogs live and I control what my crickets eat, therefore I know my frogs are getting a good diet. if you want to save money, order them in bulk. Most places ship at order of 500 crickets or more. They are very easy to keep.

Live, definately.
To put it plainly a cricket is pretty much just a shell full of juice. The freeze dried are just a dried up shell husk. There isn't much there.

I think that's something like asking if we would prefer a pizza or the space-food pizza you can buy at the air & space museum. (Yuck. You ever had that? You have to add water to it and stir it around, and it doesn't taste anything like pizza at all. Poor astronauts.)

Live is usually better as fas as insects go.
