Is Marjoram ok? And general feeding '?'
I checked the safe plants list and I see that oregano is OK. I just acquired a marjoram plant, and am not a big cook. Would that be safe to feed to the Bearded Dragons? It was grown in a green house, so now that I think about it I am wondering about pesticides.....
anyway, would that be safe? If pesticide free? Also, my Bearded Dragons are probably only 2 months old or so ~ one is about 6.5 inches the other about 4.5 inches. Neither one of them has *ever* eaten the greens I have offered them. I have tried carrotts, endive, dandelion greens and green beans. Do I just lay them in the dish and hope they go in for a taste? My slightly bigger one did take a nip at the endive I dangled over his head, but I think he was just irritated with it hanging there and was trying to get rid of it. Should I worry that they aren't getting any veggies? I also have been feeding the crickets squash and carrot baby food..... Thanks for any help! |

Re: Is Marjoram ok? And general feeding '?'
I feed veggies in the am leave the bowl in the tank, then crickets in the evening. They will eat the veggies if they get hungry enough. Also dont feed to much carrots, it can bind up the calcium and its not a good thing. You can try putting live plants in but they will just get trampled and eatin, lol.
Here is another safe plant list: http://reptileguides.herpcenter.com/...-t17.html?t=17 Food list: http://reptileguides.herpcenter.com/...-t21.html?t=21

Re: Is Marjoram ok? And general feeding '?'
Ok, so is it ok for me to be feeding the crickets carrotts? They are nice because they don't seem to mold as easily as some other veggies. I was just going to pick leaves off the plant and try them in their dish, lol. I will try again with feeding just veggies in the am. Thank you for the quick reply!

You can also give the crickets orange slices and apples.
