introducing veggies?
When I got Maia she was chomping down on veggies all the time! I never had a problem.. Molly however doesn't even want ti look at them. I don't think she's ever been given them before. How can I get her to see them as food?

I would say try and hand feed her some veggies to see if that works (dont tell Ken, he will say it spoils them)...or..you can try putting some little mealies under and in the veggies to make it move. How old is she again?

I'm guessing about 2 months.. she's about the length of Maia when I first got her (except skinnier!)
She's very skittish.. I've been trying to hand feed her crickets which she's finally starting to eat from my hand. But veggies are a whole other thing.
I like the mealworm idea...

some younger Bearded Dragons won't eat them, but like venus said you can put mealies or I put crix in the refrigerator for like two mins it slow em down then you put them on the salad or under either way... i had to do that when sydney was younger..... but I think you should still offer veggies regularly. she should eat them sooner or later.

Try offering the veggies first thing in the morning and feed them their crix in the evening. And place some grated orange skinned squash on the top. They are attracted to the color.

My thought EXACTLY Merlin. The worms in the veggies worked for me as for some reason Gary was never fed veggies in a bowl,,,,by hand only. Now he eats like a good Bearded Dragon. I too feed the veggies in the morning and crix/worms in the evening.

i've been trying to stick with the veggie mornings cricket evenings plan.
Maia has no problem sticking to it! The little one however, is a bit pickier.
Silly little dragon

Our dragons have a plate of mixed leaves, carrots, squash, sprinkled with powered calcium everyday and they love it. then in the afternoon they get their silkworms and superworms. They have the run of the upstairs but spend most of their time lying on the back of the couch in the sunny window.

If they have the run of the upstairs how are you providing them with their UVB?
