Temperture in Incubator vs. Vermiculite
Does the temp. in the incubator need to be between 83-85 or does the vermiculite need to be between 83-85? Currently the temp in the incubator is 86 degrees and the vermiculite is about 81 degrees. Is this normal? Am I just seeing this because it hasn't regulated yet. The incubator with the vermiculite in it has only been on for about half a day.
Thanks for any advice you can offer. |

Hello,
If the temps in the incubator are consistent, the substrate will eventually catch up and get pretty close in temps. Normally it takes a few days to regulate the temps. |

The temps have pretty much stablized. The vermiculite stays about 83-84 degrees.
We started off with 20 eggs and are now down to 10. They have been incubating a week today. I think the rest of the eggs will make it. It's been 2 days since we took out any eggs with molding and we can see veins growing in 3 of them. |

Eggs
Heathers and my eggs are coming along nicely. They are now starting to develop visable veins. We candled them today and 8 are fertile. So they're Alive....they're Alive. Rise my creations!!!
Sincerely, Poops |
