Rankin babies !!

My rankin's dragons breed this year. Ginger's first (and so far only) clutch had 19 eggs, most of which turned out to be infertile. Only 4 survived and have finished hatching today..... woo hoo !!

here is a picture of the first 3 taken yesterday (last one hatched today).

Congratulations!!! They are sweet. How big are they?

I saw some Rankins at the Reptile Show in Calgary, Alberta. The woman who was selling them said that they are quite active as far as dragons go. Do you find that to be true?

I have found most have shades or hints of green & tan. My female is shades of tan & white, my male is more shades of green, tan & white.

In the picture above, the baby to the left is showing alot of yellow & green tones with touches of orange (not sure where the orange comes from). The other 2 in the picture are more on the greenish side. The last one (not pictures) is also showing some yellow tones.

Congratulations Toni! They are just adorable! Such a shame that more eggs weren't fertile, but you've got four little stunners there, I love rankins, one day I will have some... (fancy letting me have those little beauties?? ). Good luck with them. Are they all gonna go to new homes or are you gonna be mum?

Thanks....it really was a shame, I had 19 originally and they took a week before they started to fail. But I was thankful to have 4 survive and then of course hatch out ......I wish I could catch their true colors on the camera. After all this hurricane related weather passes, I'll try to take some in natural lighting to see if they show true.

I haven't decided if I'll keep any of them....but if I do it will only be 1.

I'd love to let you have one....I know he'd be well cared for !
