Rhonda, I'm sorry I just realized I never answered your question.

I've only had 2 up til now, but in my opinion....they are as individualistic as normal Bearded Dragons. My male (who thinks he's a regular beard) is pretty laid back, loves to cuddle, swim and preferred greens over crickets when younger.

My female was outragously mean towards people and other dragons, from 5wk old (when I got her) until she became gravid. Now she's a doll, towards people anyway. She has always been extremely active and ravenously attacks anything given to eat, even while laying her eggs....she would stop, come out, eat, bask and then go back at it. And yes she's been tested for parasites....negative

I'll let you know as I compare the hatchlings (normal & rankins), behavior and development.

Yes, I loved the picture. They are very cute.

I was just wondering the length of them at hatching. Mine are around 4" - just wondering what a Rankin is when hatched.

Thanks DM. I thought my regular dragons were tiny til these guys were hatched.... (ohhh....another photo opportunity.....comparison between a rankins and a normal).

Rhonda, post #6 on page 1 has a thumbnail of one of the rankins hatchlings next to a tape measure. She/he is just under 3 inches.

I have found most have shades or hints of green & tan. My female is shades of tan & white, my male is more shades of green, tan & white.

In the picture above, the baby to the left is showing alot of yellow & green tones with touches of orange (not sure where the orange comes from). The other 2 in the picture are more on the greenish side. The last one (not pictures) is also showing some yellow tones.

first Congrats!! on your hatchlings.
i have a male rankins dragon and he also has some orange areas mostly on his front forelegs and some on his hineleg knees (lol) not sure either where the color orange comes from. oh and also I found that my dragon, although he trust me tends to be kind of skidish and scares easily.
