Fertile Eggs?

How long before you can tell if eggs are fertile. Like I said in other post our female laid eggs last wednesday. She has only been with a male once 2 1/2 years ago. She had one clutch . What is the chances of these eggs being fertile. I have them in an incubator but is there any signs of telling if they are fertile. Or should I just wait out the 45 days.

Re: Fertile Eggs?

Im not sure how long they retain sperm but I dont think its 2 1/2 years,,,stranger things have happened thought. Give them a couple of weeks then candle them to see if you see any veins.

Re: Fertile Eggs?

why not try now?

we were able to see veins in our Bearded Dragon's eggs the same day she layed them. both times.
just sat them on top of a small LED flashlight and was able to see them effortlessly.
