Breeding bearded dragons.

I have a pair of bearded dragons that I believe are attempting to breed. The male is bobbing his head and showing his beard (jet-black). The female is "waving" and bobbing head gently. However the female appears to be getting a bit stressed when the male does not mount her, im starting to wonder if he actually knows what to do lol.
Probably a stupid question but is mating instinctive to them or might he be a bit confused as to what he has to do?

Sounds like mating to me. It is instinctive, they know what to do. None of mine would breed with anyone present. I have witnessed it one time. If she is stress seperate them for a day or two then reintroduce them.

I seperated them for a few days as she started to bite at his tail. I have now reintroduced them and they have recommenced the mating signals but he still wont mount her :-S

Sometimes that is part of the breeding process. Give it time. It may happen when your not watching.
