males laying eggs?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Hey everyone, I'm back.
I've got a goody for you. As you know Mr. and Mrs H have had relations this spring. You may not know that the two clutches that Mrs. H has laid have not been viable. However Mr. H is laying eggs as I type this and I am severely creeped out Is there anyone out there who has come across this and if so what the heck do I do???
Gotta go to soccer right now, will check back in a couple of hours
thanks

I suspect that you have two females and what you took for mating was merely a dominance struggle.
I have heard of fish and amphibians changing sexes but never Bearded Dragons!
Now if you get baby dragons out of the deal,....

Does anyone know if there are any cases of hermaphroditic dragons? Since I got home this evening he/she has covered them up and if we hadn't seen them being laid we would never have known. As to whether or not we see babies well I will let you all know for sure. If they are both females, how common is it for Bearded Dragons to lay infertile eggs? Mrs. H had laid one clutch last year but they looked like orange jelly beans. This year the two clutches were more white but not fertile. Now Mr. H's eggs look better than the eggs that Mrs. H laid. I don't know what to think. When I have it just boggles the mind. Anyway I'll let you know what happens here at the freak show.

Wow, that's a trip....are you sure Mr. H didn't escape one day only to have your signicant other replace him with another dragon so you would get upset?

I don't think so, Mr. H has a blunted tail and a slight underbite that would be hard to match. I will say that behavior wise Mr. H does act like a male. When we put the two of them together there was definitely mating going on. Unless mashing cloacas is a dominance thing. Now when we put Mrs. H and our summer guest Smog together there has been no dominance stuff or stand offs or anything even remotely "romantic". Except for Mr. H bobbing his head at Smog from across the room. He is quite the ladies' man. If indeed he is a he but maybe also a he/she. I'm really quite confused about the whole thing. I guess we'll play it by ear.

Well if I were in your shoes I think "Mr. H." Would now be known as "Ms. H " for the time being. If oyu are really curious you can get them sexed through blood tests.
How about showing us some side by side pics of their pores and whatnot?

I have sent two pics to photobucket. parts is parts Part Deux is Mr./Ms. H and parts is parts is Mrs. H. I hope they help. If not I'll try for better pics.
I know that you all probable think I'm totally ignorant, but I swear that the two of them were mating earlier this year! At the risk of being too graphic there was an exchange of fluids and penetration. I don't know what to think now. Mr./Ms H has laid four or five eggs( two I think are stuck together). I will keep everyone up to date.
dazed and confused
