My Dragon has Narcolepsy!
Ok, so maybe not narcolepsy, but she is doing that "Hibernation lite" thing - brumnation(sp)! Not wanting to give Dundee my wife's Ritalin, how long do I have to deal with a comatose lizard. In other words, How long does brumnation last?

lmao...you crack me up. Brumation can last anywhere from several weeks to serveral months...each Bearded Dragon is different. Have you changed her photoperiod at all or has it remained the same?

Months!
Oh well, at least it saves on crickets. Her lights and temps have remained constant. Should I change them?

you can lengthen the time the lights are on or increase the temps a little and it may bring her out earlier... i cool my down over the course of about 2 weeks, then leave them to sleep for about 8 weeks and then warm them up over 2 weeks again. I will start to warm our stock the first or middle of january 2006.

She has been sleeping most of the time for the last three weeks aside from bath time! I'm not sure she wants to get woken up for her bath but I want to make sure she has a chance to hydrate. Should I just let her sleep and not give her the baths? I think I will let her brumate until January when I have to replace her UVA tube. I plan on replacing the non UVA tube and leaving the old. That way even though the old tube is not putting out quite as much as when it was new, there will still be more UVA than just the new tube. Any ideas as to why this would be a bad thing or should I proceed as planned?

Yup! I wasn't very clear... and typed A where I should have typed B!
I have two tubes in her cage, one is a UVB producing and the other just gives off regular light. In January the UVB tube will be 6 months old. At that point I will replace the regular light tube with a new UVB tube. This way Dundee will be getting UVB from both tubes, just not as much from the old one. Hopefully this makes more sense!
